Funeral services for Pinkie Parker Hardy, 91, will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at St. Mathilda Catholic Church in Eunice, LA. Visitation will be from 7:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the Bishop Ceasar Center (St. Mathilda’s Catholic Church Hall).

Highland Elementary held Easter egg and hat contests. Winners were named and given prizes.

Breaux Bridge — Although the weekend started off kinda cloudy, it made for good riding weather. The beautiful weather and price of gas have many riding their motorcycles to events around the parish.

Let me say up front, I am a Republican and not a radical left wing nut. Call me naïve if you will but I find it hard to believe the following series of events. Still, in view of recent reports on over zealous and less than honorable prosecutors, questions nag.

History has proven that competition benefits the average consumer by lowering prices, improving customer service, sparking innovation and encouraging investment. The airline industry and the wireless telephone business are two good examples.
