CROWLEY – A 17-year-old Crowley man is being charged with four counts of attempted second-degree murder following an incident that took place early Saturday morning.

CROWLEY – On Holy Saturday, March 22, The First United Methodist Church presented “The Labyrinth,” for the first time in Crowley, at the Agriculture Center.

The Labyrinth has served as a very meaningful tool worldwide for those who are lost.

Charles “Charlie” Ray Courville, age 62, of Eunice, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at his residence.

He was the son of Ann Courville of Eunice.

St. Martinville — The Louisiana Sheriffs’ Scholarship Program will award scholarships providing assistance to worthy Louisiana students in furthering their education and training with resources made available through the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Honorary Membership Program.

On Saturday, the Eunice High Bobcats picked up their first District 4-4A win with a 19-1 mercy-rule victory over the LaGrange Gators.

Eunice (10-8, 1-0) scored first in the top of the first inning, on Jacque Frugé’s sacrifice fly.
