BB, Cecilia girls each beat CHNI

The Catholic High-New Iberia Lady Panthers provided easy victories for both Breaux Bridge and Cecilia in the only games won by parish girls basketball teams last week.

Breaux Bridge topped CHNI 57-15 on Tuesday and Cecilia rolled to a 61-32 win over the Lady Panthers on Friday.

SM Tigers fall to Vikings, but bounce back against BC Gators

The St. Martinville Tigers suffered their first District 5-4A loss last week, falling to the league-leading Northside Vikings, but got back into the win column on Friday by beating Beau Chene 53-43.

Last week’s action left coach Darrel Mitchell’s squad with a 16-10, 3-1 worksheet.
