Residents enjoy monthly barbecue meal

Residents of Heritage Manor enjoyed their monthly barbecue meal for the month of June. The meal was donated by Ricky Sonnier with Woodmen of the World and prepared by members of VFW Post #3803.

Heritage Manor residents enjoy Senior Olympics

Residents and staff of Heritage Manor attended the Senior Olympics held in Lafayette on June 13. The theme was “The Wizard of Oz” and Heritage Manor residents all dressed up as munchkins. Congratulations to Betty Jack, Bobbie McCauley and Robert Soileau for winning medals.

Chateau des Amis residents enjoy Mother’s Day celebration

Students of Christian Heritage Academy recently helped residents of Chateau des Amis celebrate Mother’s Day with a special gathering featuring food, fellowship and entertainment by the students. The students also presented each mother with a rose.

Catholic Daughters, Sacred Heart of Jesus Court discuss community projects at meeting

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Sacred Heart of Jesus Court #1674, met at the church meeting room on Wednesday, June 3, at 6 p.m., with Regent Barbara Delafosse presiding. A discussion was held about new community projects to benefit the town, and several proposals were considered.

Employee and Resident of the Month announced

Judy Andrepont was named Employee of the Month for June at Heritage Manor, and Hazel Gallow was named Resident of the Month. Andrepont is an LPN at the facility, and her dedication and compassion for all is seen daily by her peers. She has four children and seven grandchildren.
