Alicia Ardoin was named Employee of the Month for March at Heritage Manor, and Mary J. Ardoin was named Resident of the Month. Alicia has been employed with Heritage Manor for two years as an evening shift CNA. She enjoys working with the elderly.

The youth and Miss Ville Platte pageants will be held Sunday, March 29, at the Northside Civic Center beginning at 9 a.m.

Pine Prairie School recently announced its honor students for the second nine-weeks.

The 2015 Evangeline 4-H Sew-With-Cotton and Spring Clothing Style Show and Awards Ceremony sponsored by the Evangeline Parish Volunteers for Family and Community and the Ville Platte Super Wal-Mart was held Thursday, February 26, at 6 p.m.

Members of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Sacred Heart of Jesus Court #1674, visited with residents of Heritage Manor Nursing Home to help celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The staff and residents of Heritage Manor Nursing Home enjoyed a Mardi Gras outing to Mamou on Friday, February 13. Everyone had a wonderful time at the event held at the Mamou Recreational Center.

VFW Post #3803 recently donated its monthly barbecue for residents of Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Cabot donated the meat for this month’s meal. Shown, standing in front, are Maggie Ortego and Mark Suellentrop with Cabot.

Paula Landreneau and Beth Fontenot were co-hostesses for the Magnolia Garden Club meeting held Monday, February 9, at Landreneau’s home. President Mable Foreman called the meeting to order, and Hazel Fontenot read the Gardener’s Prayer.
