Law enforcement officials recover stolen four-wheeler

On Wednesday night, law enforcement officers recovered a stolen four-wheeler alongside the Turkey Creek Glenmora Road.
The bike, which belonged to Phillip Cavins, was believed to be stolen on Monday, January 23rd, sometime after school from the home of Pine Prairie Mayor Quint West.

VPPD Arrests

The Ville Platte Police Department reported five recent bookings into the city jail. Arrested were the following persons:
• Keeveon Fontenot, 19, of 2425 1st Street, Ville Platte, was arrested on January 21, 2017 for disturbing the peace.

Mamou man dies in head-on collision near Kinder

A head-on collision in Allen Parish involving a Mamou man has resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including a one-year-old girl.
Louisiana State Police Troop D released a statement on Thursday, January 19 regarding a crash that occurred two and half miles east of Kinder.
