The Mamou High Demons (0-6, 0-1) will once again have an uphill battle this coming Friday night as they travel to recent class 2A powerhouse Kinder High (5-1, 1-0) in a district 4-2A game. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Coming off a disappointing 27-12 loss at the hands of Northwest, the Pine Prairie Panthers (3-3, 0-1) are looking to rebound as they host Church Point (5-1, 1-0) in a big district 5-3A matchup Thursday night. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

VILLE PLATTE – The Eunice High Bobcats opened District 5-3A play here Friday night with a 34-0 victory over the Ville Platte Bulldogs.

MAMOU – Friday night was the midway point of the season for the Mamou football team. The squad came into the season as a young team having only three seniors. It faced tough out-of-district play against Ville Platte, Pine Prairie, and Oberlin.

The Panthers’ record-making win streak came to an end here Friday evening, 27-12, against the Northwest Raiders in the opening game of District 5-3A.

So far this season, it has been a struggle for Mamou High School football. The Demons are now 0-5 on the year after a 54-0 loss at the hands of Oakdale this past Thursday night. The bright spot for Mamou; the season is not yet done.
