Tickets are now on sale for “The Christmas Dinner,” presented by Troupe d’ Evangeline Community Theatre. The production will be held Tuesday, December 16, at 6 pm. at the Northside Civic Center.

Jennifer Guillory of Pine Prairie was the winner of Troupe d’Evangeline’s Thanksgiving prize basket, featuring a turkey, injector, pie and other essential items for the Thanksgiving table. She was very appreciative of the basket. In the first photo, she is shown with her basket.

The Evangeline Parish 4-H Fall Food Fest was held Monday, November 10, in the Sacred Heart Elementary Gymnasium. Egg, poultry and pecan dishes were awarded blue, red or white ribbons. The parish contest was sponsored by Paul’s Meat Market and Grocery and Jack Miller’s Food Products.

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Sacred Heart of Jesus Court #1674, annually holds a memorial mass for the court members who died during the current year. This year, the court lost only one member, Mrs. Anna Lee Manuel.

During the October 28, meeting of the Ville Platte Rotary Club, Rotarian Wayne Vidrine invited Felicia Manuel, co-owner of Ville Platte Iron Works, to give a brief history of and update on the business.
