EPSO and MPD Arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 10 recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons:
• August Castille, 47, was arrested on November 1, 2016 for distribution/manufacture of a schedule II. Castille’s bond was set at $$35,000.00.

A settlement was reached on Wednesday in a federal lawsuit against former Ville Platte Police Officer Larry Fontenot, who was accused of forcing two women to expose themselves during an August 2015 roadside encounter.
