Boy Scouts raise funds for troop

The local Ville Platte Boy Scout troop recently attended the Farmer’s Market at the Ville Platte Town Square to sell po-boys and candy in order to raise money for troop activities.

The 4-H “Cotton Pickin’ Pet Show” was held on Wednesday, October 8, at the Ville Platte Civic Center. There were more than 80 pets entered in the show this year.

Troupe d’Evangeline receives tourism grant

Troupe d’Evangeline Community Theatre recently received a grant through the assistance of the Evangeline Parish Tourism Commission. The grant will assist the group with performances in the fall/winter of 2014 and spring/summer of 2015.
