The local Ville Platte Boy Scout troop recently attended the Farmer’s Market at the Ville Platte Town Square to sell po-boys and candy in order to raise money for troop activities.

The 4-H “Cotton Pickin’ Pet Show” was held on Wednesday, October 8, at the Ville Platte Civic Center. There were more than 80 pets entered in the show this year.
A congratulations goes out to all 4-H club members participating in this annual event.

The 2014 4-H Cotton Food Festival got off to a great start at the 20th Annual Cotton Festival 4-H Cotton Commodity Cookery Contest held Wednesday, October 8, at the Ville Platte Civic Center.

Troupe d’Evangeline Community Theatre recently received a grant through the assistance of the Evangeline Parish Tourism Commission. The grant will assist the group with performances in the fall/winter of 2014 and spring/summer of 2015.
