Lloyd and Sally Fontenot of Chataignier celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on August 14, 2014. The couple was married August 14, 1954, at St. Julien Catholic Church in Chataignier. They thank God for their life, health, strength and 60 years of marriage.

Bryan Leach, regional director with Delta Waterfowl, right, was the guest speaker for the August 26, meeting of the Ville Platte Rotary Club. He gave Rotarians a brief history of the organization, which was established in 1911.
