Prairie Manor residents place at Senior Olympics

Residents of Prairie Manor participated in the Louisiana Nursing Home Association’s Region III Senior Olympics in Lafayette on July 12. Rodney Buller, first photo, placed third in the horseshoes competition, and Patricia Myers, second photo, placed third in the chariot race competition.

Heritage Manor residents attend Senior Olympics

The staff and residents of Heritage Manor enjoyed participating in the Louisiana Nursing Home Association’s Region III Senior Olympics in Lafayette on July 12. Heritage Manor residents competed against 23 other area nursing homes and brought home four medals.

Magnolia Garden Club presents awards

The Garden of the Month and Civic Pride Award of Merit for July was selected by a committee from the Magnolia Garden Club. The recipient of the Garden of the Month honor was the home of Dr. and Mrs. J.S. Fontenot, and the Civic Pride Award was presented to Evangeline Bank and Trust.

Employee and Resident of the Month announced

Sherina Gallow was named Employee of the Month for July at Heritage Manor, and Preston Ardoin was named Resident of the Month. Gallow has been a blessing to Heritage Manor for four years and has held various positions at the facility. She and her husband, Tony, have two sons.

MHS Quarterback Club plans alumni tournament

The Mamou Quarterback Club is hosting the fifth annual Mamou High School/Vidrine High School Alumni Softball Tournament at the Mamou Ballpark July 25-27. Chris Reed will deejay Friday night for entertainment. Please come out to support MHS football/athletics.

Residents of Heritage Manor enjoyed their annual Father’s Day outing to the Alexandria Zoo and lunch at Ryan’s. The residents, staff and volunteers enjoyed their day in Alexandria.
