PPHS Parent Meeting Night
for Grades 3-4 on Nov. 16

The Mamou Police Department recently reported the following 10 arrests:
• Scott Richard, 166 Rue Richame, Ville Platte, was arrested on October 18, 2016 for Department of Corrections trustee.

There will be a new man in charge in the Village of Pine Prairie.

It looks like Louisiana residents will be making another trip to the polls in December to decide the outcome of the United States Senator and U.S. Representative races.

Meeting a day earlier due to federal elections on Tuesday, the Ville Platte City Council approved an amendment to its culverts ordinance Monday evening. It also heard discussion of its reflective gear ordinance.

The Mamou Police Department has recently made three drug bust with the largest arrest resulting in the confiscation of marijuana, crystal meth, and multiple drug paraphernalia items.

At the Evangeline Parish Police Jury’s Monday night meeting the jury officially passed an ordinance to “terminate any and all utility permits or tags” if a person or entity is in violation of any provision of a parish ordinance.
