2014 Boggy Bayou Festival youth royalty crowned

Six new queens and three kings were selected on Saturday, March 15, at the 2014 Boggy Bayou Youth Pageant held at the fairgrounds. They will be presented at the Queen’s Pageant set for Saturday, April 5, during the 30th Boggy Bayou Festival.

Catholic Daughter of the Year recognized

Edna Soileau, left, was named Catholic Daughter of the Year at the installation banquet held Wednesday, February 5, in conjunction with the group’s 60th anniversary. She is shown receiving her plaque from Regent Barbara Delafosse.

Employee and Resident of the Month announced

Latoya Lavigne, left photo, was named Employee of the Month for March at Heritage Manor, and Hazel Jackson, right photo, was named Resident of the Month. Lavigne has been employed as an LPN with Heritage Manor for four years. She is very compassionate and takes her job seriously.
