Mamou Green Demons hosted the Kinder Yellow Jackets in a key district match-up Friday night.
The Green Demon fans packed the gym with Mardi Gras spirit. With a complete team effort, Mamou scored a 65-49 win.

The district 5-3A season continued in full force Tuesday night for both the Ville Platte Bulldogs and the Lady Bulldogs, as they hosted Church Point High School. The Lady Bulldogs used a suffocating defense and an opportunistic offense to overpower the Lady Bears 74-28.

A win over the St. Edmund Blue Jays on Friday would keep the Sacred Heart Trojans in the hunt for a long awaited district title. The Trojans came into the contest with a 2-1 district record, one game behind league-leading North Central.

The Ville Platte High Bulldogs went into the game against the Livonia Wildcats hoping to rebound from a tough loss to Pine Prairie on Tuesday. A win by Ville Platte would keep them in the race for the district championship.

For a team to have a shot at winning a district championship, two important things must happen; remain undefeated at home and be above .500 on the road. The Ville Platte Lady Bulldogs know this all too well, having won the title in 2013-14.

The Pine Prairie Panthers hosted the Northwest Raiders Friday night. The Panthers would use a full team effort and every second of the clock to pull off a win over Northwest Raiders with a final score of 61-60.

The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers took on the Northwest Lady Raiders Friday night. The Lady Panthers played hard the whole game, but fell short with a final score of 68-35.
