Cynthia Frank was named Employee of the Month for November at Heritage Manor, and Bernita Williams was named Resident of the Month. Frank is employed in the housekeeping department and is a real team player who enjoys working with the elderly.

Jaleel, Jamill and Jaclyn Jason, the triplet children of Javata Jason of Mamou, will celebrate their third birthday today, November 10, 2013. They celebrated their birthdays with a party at their daycare on Friday, November 8.

The Magnolia Garden Club of Ville Platte held its October meeting at the Arboretum on Monday, October 14. President Hazel Fontenot conducted the meeting, and Kim Hollier, staff member of the Arboretum, was the guest speaker.

Members of the VFW Post #3803 recently met with Mayor Jennifer Vidrine, who signed a proclamation declaring November as National Poppy Month for the VFW, as well as a proclamation recognizing Monday, November 11, as Veteran’s Day.
