The Evangeline Parish Public Library system will host its annual Book Fest from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8 at the Ville Platte branch.

Monk brothers named Grand Parade Marshals for 80th Rice Festival

CROWLEY – Jason and Jared Monk have been selected as the 80th International Rice Festival Grand Parade Marshals, according to Elisabeth LeLeux, festival president.
The festival is slated for the weekend of Oct. 20 through 23 in downtown Crowley.

The Experience Louisiana Festival will open its second year with a New Orleans style second line parade through the festival site.

Rice Festival Queen’s Ball and Honoree Social set for Sept. 17

CROWLEY – Rice Festival Honoree, Charles “Chuck” W. Abell Jr., and 2015 Rice Festival Queen Camille Quebodeaux will be honored at the 80th International Rice Festival Queen’s Ball and Honoree Cocktail Party as announced by Elisabeth LeLeux, festival president.
