Billy S. Carson, Jr., 66, of Reddell, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017, peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.
Carson was a loving father and grandfather.

Funeral services for James Alton Manuel were held Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Pine Prairie. Burial followed in the Pine Point Cemetary.

At its February meeting, the Ville Platte City Council accepted an audit report of the city budget that was given an “unmodified, clean opinion.” The meeting was held on Wednesday evening instead of Tuesday due to the St. Valentine’s Day holiday.
