With an overall record of 17-1, the Mamou Eight year-old All-Stars earned a trip to Longview, Texas to compete in the Dixie Youth Pitching Machine World Series event.

Ville Platte coasted into the semi-finals of the District Seven Tournament in Ville Platte. They had dominated nearly every team they played and now only DeRidder was in their way. A win for VP would put them in the finals for sure. A loss meant they would have to see what happened.

In Moss Bluff, the VP Super 10’s wasted no time in getting into the finals and destroying the competition. They handled Vernon Central 13-1 in the semi-finals and then bounced Moss Bluff National (MBN) for the second time in the tournament with a score of 10-2.

In Moss Bluff, the Ville Platte Super 10’s have had a wild tournament thus far. From blowout games, to the heat and even wild and unruly fans, the VP youngsters have had to deal with a lot of adversity. However, they overcame it all and made their way into the finals.

In Ville Platte, the Majors are rolling through the District Tournament and thus far, they have not been contested. They have 10-run ruled three out of four opponents and have scored 12 or more runs in every game thus far.

After taking a week off, the Mamou Pitching Machine All-Stars are all set to head to Pineville. They will be competing in the Louisiana State Dixie Youth Pitching Machine All-Star Tournament.

In DeQuincy, the Mamou Elite 8’s (eight and under) did the thing they do best and went on to win the District Seven Tournament. They played outstanding defense throughout the event and got timely hitting when needed to march through the event with a perfect 6-0 record.

The Ville Platte Majors (11-12 year-old) will host the District Seven Tournament this weekend. The action all begins Saturday and will last throughout the next Thursday, July 10th.

Ville Platte’s Super 10s won sub-district with an undefeated mark. Now the talented group will head west to Moss Bluff to do battle in the District Seven Tournament. The diamond action begins today.

In Ville Platte, the season began for the Super teams in the eastern part of District Seven. The Sub-District tournament started up and things were rolling, despite the chance of some severe weather.
