NEW ROTARIANS INSTALLED - The Ville Platte Rotary Club welcomed and installed several new members during the October 8, meeting following a successful membership drive. In the first photo, board member Larry Lachney officially inducts the new members into the club.

Dr. Truth will visit Ville Platte High School and Vidrine Elementary School on Wednesday, October 30th.  He will inspire Ville Platte High School’s 7 – 8th grade students and Evangeline Central’s 8th grade Connections students at 10 a.m.

Evangeline Parish Halloween Trick or Treat hours for Thursday, October 31, have been annouced as follows:
•Ville Platte will observe Trick or Treat from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
•Mamou will observe Trick or Treat from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine was in Baton Rouge Monday when she got a call from Second Harvest of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana, asking if she wanted a truck load of fresh produce to distribute. “I just couldn’t turn it down,” she said.
