The Mamou Police Department recently reported the following 11 arrests:
• Lisa Garnett, 901 Hickory St., Mamou, was arrested January 12, 2017 for aggravated battery.
• Corlin Robinson, 504 5th St., Mamou, was arrested January 14, 2017 for a city warrant.

The following individuals failed to appear in the Ville Platte City Court. Bench warrants have been issued by Judge Gregory Vidrine, for these individuals, for their failure to appear in court on traffic tickets and other misdemeanor charges for the months of January, 2017.

EUNICE -- It was an important night for both the Ville Platte Bulldogs and the Lady Bulldogs as they traveled to Bobcat country Tuesday night to take on Eunice High.

VILLE PLATTE -- Maybe the Sacred Heart Trojans and the Lady Trojans need to play doubleheader games more often.
The two squads had not played on the same night in over 20 days and had not taken both games of a twin bill since November 17.

Funeral Services for Mary Bellard will be held at Owens-Thomas Funeral Home in Ville Platte at 10 a.m. February 4, 2017. Burial will follow at New Light Cemetery.
Bellard, 75, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2017.
