VILLE PLATTE- A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, January 30, 2017 for Emma Joy Demoruelle at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Taj Glodd officiated the service. Burial followed at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Lavergnes celebrate 50 years

John R. and Anna Lavergne of Ville Platte celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary January 28, 2017.
Anna, the former Anna Lee Fontenot of Ville Platte, and John were married in 1967 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Fr. Joseph Brennan officiated the ceremony.
