Activity staff members play an important role when it comes to hydrating residents. Many of the things we do are tied to providing refreshments. We take advantage of this by offering extra fluids throughout the summer months. We promote juices, water and non-caffeinated beverages.

Heritage Manor News: Happy Father’s Day!

For over 40 years, Father’s Day has been celebrated nationwide. President Richard Nixon signed a law in 1972 for all fathers to be honored on the third Sunday of June. Here, we honor our dads with a celebration of cake and punch and award the most active father with a plaque.

When we look into the book of Genesis, we see that fathers and husbands were the leaders and priests of their homes. When they spoke, things happened. By and large, that responsibility has been abdicated by many men today. Men, God has not negated that responsibility that He has given to us.

Heritage Manor News: Unity in times of sorrow

Recently, we the staff and residents of Heritage Manor said goodbye to one of our own. Although this is a daily part of life, we were grieved with the loss of an icon of our home. Ms. Betty was a part of our family for 32 years and I was blessed to share her life for the last 19 years.
