In terms of rivalries, Mamou and Pine Prairie have only been at it for as long as the Panthers have fielded a football team. Despite that, the two schools have brought that rivalry to high, albeit friendly, level over the past 10 years.

Janice “Jan” Barbara Guillory Fontenot, 84, a native of Ville Platte and a resident of Houma, passed away peacefully on Sept. 20, 2017.

LAFAYETTE - Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette for Faye Isabelle L. Broussard, 78, who passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at her residence in Lafayette.
