The Evangeline Parish Police Department reported 25 recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons:

The following individuals failed to appear in the Ville Platte City Court. Bench warrants have been issued by Judge Gregory Vidrine, for these individuals, for their failure to appear in court on traffic tickets and other misdemeanor charges for the months of February, 2016.

The Ville Platte Police Department reported four recent bookings into the city jail. Arrested were the following persons:
•Brian Lavine, 46, 616 S. Soileau St., Ville Platte, was arrested on February 24, 2016 for theft of goods. Lavine remains incarcerated on a $500.00 bond.

The Evangeline Parish School Board met for the second time this week Wednesday night for its regular meeting.
The meeting’s discussion was centered around the bids for District No. 7’s, which is the Basile School district, general obligation bonds in the amount of $8,500,000.00.
