2008 Easter Eggstravaganza announced

CROWLEY – The Crowley Professional Women’s club will host the Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 15, in Levy Park. Activities taking place that day will include the 2008 Little Miss Easter Eggstravaganza pageant, cheerleading competition, coloring contest, face painting, Easter egg hunt, plenty of games, and a BBQ hamburger sale.

The coloring sheets and colors for the contest will be provided by the Crowley Professional Women’s Club and will available at the park all morning. There will be color stations set up at the park. The three age divisions in the contest include 4-5 year olds, 6-7 year olds, and 8-9 year olds. Each category will have one winner, and the contest will be judged by non-CPWC members. To be eligible for judging, entries must be turned into the Gazebo at Levy Park in Crowley on Saturday, March 15, 2008 no later than 11:30 a.m. The winners will be announced at noon at the Gazebo at Levy Park, and the kids must be present to win.

The Little Miss Easter Eggstravaganza pageant will start at 9 a.m. and the crowning will take place at the end of the entire competition. The age divisions in the pageant will be 12-24 months, Baby Miss; 2-3 year olds, Toddler Miss; 4-5 year olds, Petite Miss; 6-7 year olds, Little Miss; and 8-9 year olds, Jr. Miss. A Photogenic winner, as well as 1st and 2nd places, and Queen in each division will be chosen. The entry fees are $5 for Photogenic and $30 for the pageant. After the conclusion of the entire pageant, the pictures for Photogenic can be picked up. For more information, contact Ruthie Piron at 783-4659.
