Abbeville man sought by police

The Abbeville Police Department is searching for a man who was caught on video, taking a large air conditioner unit out of the window in a home and hauling it off on a dolly.

On June 26, Ivan Lopez, was caught on video removing an AC from a home on South Lyman.

The unit, which was brand new, came from the back window of the home.

The video shows him going to the house and then leaving the house with the unit, along with cans of paint that were in the house.

The Abbeville police has yet to find Lopez, who is from Abbeville, and is asking for community help in locating him. The police department is offering a $500 reward for anyone who knows where Lopez is and or where the Frederick’s AC window unit worth $1,000 is located.
