Acadian Memorial Festival March 15

St. Martinville — The fourth annual Acadian Memorial Festival will be held Saturday, March 15, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., on the boulevard. This year’s theme is “A Tribute to Acadian Women.”

Festivities include Cajun music, display of wooden putt-putt boats, plenty of food, and at 1 p.m. a reenactment of the arrival of the Acadians.

Children’s activities will include Cheri Armentor, storyteller and author of “Le Courir du Mardi Gras’ -- The Chicken That Got Away,” with her presentation of Mardi Gras celebration in Louisiana. Classes are on a first-come-first-served basis.
