Accident damages Flower Shop

CROWLEY – A local business here sustained damages after a two-vehicle accident that took place Friday at approximately 10 a.m.

Crowley Chief of Police K. P. Gibson said Aurora’s Flowers and Gifts, located on the corner of Avenue F and 6th Street was heavily damaged after one of the vehicles involved in the accident slammed into the plate glass front.

Involved in the accident were Alma Faulk of rural Crowley and Patrick Broussard also of Crowley. According to eyewitnesses and police reports, Faulk motored through the stop sign while traveling west on 6th Street where she was struck by Broussard’s vehicle while he traveled north. Faulk was transported to American Legion Hospital by Acadian Ambulance Service with minor injuries. She was also issued a citation by officers for failure to stop.

A delivery van, owned by the business, was also damaged as a result of the accident.

In addition to the Crowley Police and Acadian Ambulance, firefighters with the Crowley Fire Department were also at the scene.
