Amanda Claire LeLeux honored with bridal shower

An afternoon bridal shower honoring Amanda Claire LeLeux of Baton Rouge; was held on Sunday, March 9, at 2 p.m. The shower was held in the home of Larry and Angie Domingue of Lafayette.

Miss LeLeux is the bride-elect of Michael Elmer Dufrechou, Jr. also of Baton Rouge. She is the daughter of Nugie and Dixie LeLeux of Crowley.

The groom-elect is the son of Michael Dufrechou, Sr. of Harahan and Rose Marie Dufrechou of St. Rose.

On her special day, the bride-to-be wore a strapless navy blue and white dress complemented by a wristlet corsage of miniature white carnations.

The mother of the bride-to-be wore a light blue sweater paired with black slacks.

The groom-to-be’s mother’s attire consisted of a burgundy two-piece suit. Both mothers were presented corsages of miniature white carnations.

Hosting the affair were Angie Domingue, Joan Habetz, Sondra Broussard, Dixie LeLeux and Julie LeLeux.

The Domingue home was elegantly decorated with fresh spring flowers in various shades of pink and lavender, accented with greenery. A sign-in table was placed at the entrance of the home with a picture of the future bride and groom. Guest were seated at tables adorned with the spring flowers and ribbon accents.

The refreshment menu consisted of various types of sandwiches, dips, cake and fresh fruits and vegetables. Her cake featured a white square confection topped with a pink ribbon to make the cake resemble a gift box.

Out of town guest traveled from Vinton, Crowley, Baton Rouge, New Orleans and St. Rose.

The couple plans to marry on April 5, during a 7 p.m. nuptial mass at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

On February 9, the engaged couple was also treated to a couple’s shower, hosted by the bridal party, at the home of Adam and Missy Hebert of Lafayette.

Guest were served chicken and sausage gumbo with all the trimmings.
