BBPD looking for a few good men

Breaux Bridge — The Breaux Bridge Police Department is looking for a few more good men.

The City Council on March 11 authorized Chief Charlie Thibodeaux to hire John Ross Dauphine as a rookie patrolman, but even after Dauphine hits the street — he will enter POST certification training at the end of the month — BBPD will still be down two patrol officers, Thibodeaux says.

“It's hard to get people to work on a policeman’s pay nowadays,” the chief said.
