Blue Jays host, Bobcats travel as playoffs begin

The St. Edmund Blue Jays and the Eunice Bobcats both earned spots in the high school baseball playoffs.

In Class 1-A, the fifth seeded Blue Jays will host No. 28 Oberlin at 6 p.m. today.

The winner will face the Ascension Catholic/Oak Grove winner in the regionals.

In Class 4-A, the Bobcats drew an 17th seed and will travel to face No. 16 DeRidder.

With a win, the Bobcats would face the winner between top seeded Neville and No. 32 Karr in the regionals.
