Bobcats fall to Teurlings Catholic, 8-2

The Eunice High Bobcats fell 8-2 Tuesday night to second-seeded Teurlings Catholic in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs.

Teurlings jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, and held Eunice scoreless until Mitchell Fuselier's RBI double in the bottom of the third.

Teurlings extended their lead with two runs in the top of fifth inning, and added four insurance runs over the course of the sixth and seventh innings.

Senior Jacque Fruge ended his high school career with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth.

Teurlings will advance to the quarterfinal round later this week.
