Bozeman named Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS – LSU Eunice first baseman and Baton Rouge native, Kellen Bozeman has been named the Ringor/NJCAA Division II Player of the Week.

Bozeman went 12-19 at the plate and recorded 14 RBI to lead the No. 1 Bengals to four wins last week.

He collected two doubles, four home runs, four walks and scored nine runs. His best performance came on April 6 when he went 6-8 at the dish with three homers, a double and nine RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Pearl River Community College (Miss.).

Bozeman leads the Bengals with a .421 batting average. 

He has 42 RBIs and 9 home runs on the season.
