Broussard attends Economic Development Seminar

CROWLEY – Crowley Chamber of Commerce Board Member Kevin Broussard recently attended the Louisiana Economic Development Seminar in Baton Rouge.

Broussard is completing his term on the Chamber Board after three years of service to the community, including one year as Chairman of the Board.

Held at the Louisiana Emerging Technology Center on the LSU Campus, the two-day workshop developed by the Louisiana Department of Economic Development, the LSU AgCenter’s Cooperative Extension Service and the Louisiana Industrial Development Executives Association focuses on community development tools and programs.

Broussard’s registration and fees for the event were sponsored by CLECO, as a part on their ongoing commitment to economic development in the Crowley area. CLECO’s Director of Business and Economic Development, Katie Chiasson, was instrumental in the start of the program, and continues to encourage local participation in such events.

Past Chamber directors and staff, including current president, Kayla Link, have also attended the seminar.
