Cecil F. David

LAKE ARTHUR – Funeral services for Mr. Cecil F. David, 68, will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2008 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur. The Rev. Clyde Thomas will be officiating.

Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home, Lake Arthur.

Funeral home visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday; and 8 a.m. Monday until time of services.

Arosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. David died Thursday, June 12, 2008 in the Jennings Guest House.

David was a native of Gueydan. A graduate of Gueydan High School, he served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Our Lady of Help Christians Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Pachyderm Club.

David is survived by his wife Cheryl Fitzgerald David, of Lake Arthur; a daughter, Mary Ellen Sweeny of Lake Archur; a son, Anthony P.. David of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Craig (Lee Ann) Kratzer, of Roanoke; two brothers, Lawrence Burton David and his wife Juanita of Lake Arthur; John Paul David and his wife Carol of Lake Arthur; and two grandchildren, Nolan Theriot Sweeney and Robert Paul Sweeny.
