Chamber to host Women's business center seminar

ABBEVILLE - The Greater Abbeville-Vermilion Chamber of Commerce is working with the Women’s Business Center to provide another informative seminar to the Vermilion Parish business community.

Wednesday, June 18, will be the date of our “Women’s Business Center” seminar. The ECGC Women’s Business Center provides training assistance and support women’s need to start and grow a successful business. While the center encourages the woman-owned business, the center also helps anyone interested in starting a business or expanding his or her business.

Ms. Sheri Lazare, Director of the Women’s Business Center, will use this time to talk about counseling services and technical assistance provided by the WBC. Some of the topics may include but not limited to: Financial management assistance; Strategic planning, including expansion and buyout; Basic credit counseling; Financial literacy for employees or self; Loan/Grant packaging and loan procurement assistance; Marketing and demographic assistance; Business plan development; Business-to-business mentoring; Business start-up assistance, etc.

This free seminar will be held from 5:15 pm – 7:15 pm at the Vermilion Parish Library, 405 E. St. Victor, Abbeville, Louisiana.

Seating is limited to 60 attendees. Please register early so we can get materials ready and have a seat for each person who wants to attend.
