City awaits DEQ violation notice

The wastewater hammer fell Thursday, when the Louisiana Dept. of Environmental Quality gave Mayor Bob Morris a courtesy call saying the city is in violation of its operating and discharge permit.

According to Morris, the DEQ advised that the city has been out of compliance since 2006.
