NCAA baseball regionals has a Louisiana flavor

With the announcement of the 64 team field of the NCAA Division I baseball tournament on Monday, one could not help but notice that Louisiana is well represented.
Five teams from the state will have the opportunity to advance and try to make it to the ulimate prize; a trip to Ohmaha.
The big winners in the tournament draw are LSU and UL-L.
LSU recieved a national top eight seed and will not only host the regional tournament but will be in line to host a super regional if they advance.
Joining LSU in the Baton Rouge regional are Rice, Southeastern Louisiana and Utah Valley.
UL-L, a top 16 national seed will host Arizona, Sam Houston St. and Princeton in the Lafayette regional set to start on Friday.
The other Louisiana teams invited to the tournament are Tulane and Louisiana Tech.
Tulane is the number two seed in the Oxford, Mississppi regional hosted by Ole Miss., while La Tech will be the number three seeded team in the Starkville regional hosted by Mississppi St.
This is the first time since 2005 that five Louisiana schools made the tournament. That year, LSU, Tulane, UL-Lafayette, Northwestern State and Southern made it. Louisiana also sent five teams in 2000, 1999, 1994 and 1987.
