Heritage Manor News: National CNA Week

National Certified Nursing Assistant Week is designed to recognize the vital role of the direct care workers, our nursing assistants. It makes sense that the quality of the relationships within the facility is about life satisfaction. Interactions with residents and staff occur on a daily basis. Relationships are the heart of person-centered care. Through a relationship, all things can happen; without one, nothing. More than 4.5 million care givers provide hands-on care each day to the frail and elderly in nursing homes and other long-term care settings. These care givers meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of the residents. Research indicates that what matters most to employees in the workplace is feeling valued, appreciated, encouraged and educated to better serve their customers and the needy. This builds a strong place for the residents to call home. We salute our CNAs this week and are pleased that they chose this as their profession.
The staff of Heritage Manor wishes a Happy Birthday this week to Icy Sebastien and Bobbie McCauley.
The staff of Heritage Manor extends its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Francis Nelson.
Activities this week include Olympic games, bingo sponsored by the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, manicures, pokeno, rosary led by St. Joseph parishioners, happy hour, mass, group exercise, Come Lord Jesus group, music by T-Rob and Bible study with Thomas Toler.
The staff of Heritage Manor welcomes Dorothy Krasnoff to the facility.
