Heritage Manor News: Procrastination
Procrastination is putting off or delaying, especially something requiring immediate attention. Compose a master list of tasks or projects that you have put off and would like to tackle. Separate your list by categories, such as home projects, work or personal development. Focus on productivity and completing actions in a prompt and straight forward manner. Procrastination is a common time waster. Breaking the habit of procrastination is a challenge. Prioritize a list of things that need attention and get it out of the way. Take note of how an accomplishment feels. Each time the procrastination habit resurfaces, it is important to take time and assess the reason that the task it being delayed.
Our Mardi Gras celebration was such fun! We thank judges Mable Foreman and Sandra Fontenot for taking the time out of their busy schedules to accommodate us. The winners were Janice Deville, first place; Nancy Bourque, second place; Monique Jack, third place; and Cathy Jason, honorable mention.
Activities this week include service by St. John Baptist Church, in-room visits, manicures, pokeno, bingo sponsored by the VVA, Come Lord Jesus group, happy hour, arts and crafts, bouree games, mass, exercise, patriotic rosary and resident council meeting.
The monthly resident birthday party will be held Tuesday, March 17, at 2 p.m. in the activity room. Those celebrating a birthday in March are Leanna Gradney, Leonard Ardoin and Robert Ewert.
The staff of Heritage Manor sends get-well wishes to Earleen Fontenot and Nancy Pitre.
The staff of Heritage Manor welcomes new volunteers Judy Deville and her group of ladies from the Come Lord Jesus group. They help out each Monday for game time. The residents love the company and special attention they receive from them.
