Heritage Manor News: Recruiting retired volunteers

Retirees and older members of our community offer a rich and rewarding source of volunteers for our long-term care facilities with both residents and staff. Volunteers are recognized as an important link to the community. Retirees are often the people who have the time and skills to match residents needs. A dedicated family member of a resident is often happy to be a volunteer and observe what they enjoy. If an individual has specific volunteer jobs in mind, such as delivering mail, overseeing craft projects, playing games or even visiting with the bedbound only, we can help direct them and assist them as needed. Volunteers also help to keep residents connected to the community. If you desire to feel needed, want to make a difference in someone’s life, want to share skills or help the lonely, please feel free to come by or call for our schedule of events. We feel very blessed to have the volunteers that come and share time with us and are always looking forward to meeting new individuals.
