Heritage Manor News: Senior Olympics

Our annual Region III Senior Olympics will be held Saturday, June 13, at the Comeaux Recreational Center in Lafayette beginning at 10 a.m. We have several residents that will be competing in various events and everyone is looking forward to this year’s competition. We thank the residents Warren Fontenot, Betty Jack, Gary Landreneau, Bobbie McCauley, Sue Guillory, Robert Soileau and Ammich Stagg for their great spirit of participating. They will be competing in horseshoe games, bean bag toss, shot put and discus throwing. Many thanks to the volunteers, staff and family members that support us in this great event.
We are proud to announce the Resident of the Month for June is Mary Gallow, and the Employee of the Month is Judy Andrepont.

Many thanks to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Compass and the Catholic Daughters for the bingo game donations. We also thank our spiritual leaders Come Lord Jesus, Beverly Miller, Thomas Toler, Sister Lucille Stelly, Elizabeth Fontenot, Jackie Vidrine and the priests of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for their continued devotion to our residents.
Activities this week include Come Lord Jesus group, manicures, exercise, bingo sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary, pokeno, mass, in-room visits, hot dollar, resident birthday party, card games and ice cream party.
