Heritage Manor News: Springtime activities

There are so many signs of spring in the air. Look outdoors and you will see flowers blooming, trees budding, birds gathering their nesting materials and plenty of good old sunshine. Now that daylight savings time is in effect, we have more daylight hours for outdoor fun activities. This week, we will be traveling to Abbeville for Bingo Blowout. Many thanks to Verna Guillory, Father Richard Vidrine and all of the Catholic Daughters that work so hard each year putting together the annual French Retreat. We feel very blessed to have this wonderful opportunity to share our Lenten beliefs together. We appreciate all of the special attention we have received from various volunteers during Lent and encourage them to continue to visit us whenever possible.
The staff of Heritage Manor wishes a Happy Birthday this week to Robert Ewert.
The staff of Heritage Manor sends get-well wishes to Leonard Ardoin.
The staff of Heritage Manor extends its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Launey Johnson and Leo Tate.
Congratulations to the pride card winner for the month of March, Judy Andrepont. She was chosen by her peers for her kindness and generosity.
Activities this week include manicures, in-room visits, pokeno, bingo sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Come Lord Jesus group, service by Armada Prayer Group, mass, exercise, ice cream party and service by Washington Baptist Church.
Many thanks to all that brought cakes for the monthly birthday party and St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The residents truly appreciated it.
Many thanks to our devoted VFW Post #3803 members and Ladies Auxiliary members for their skills and compassion to the elderly. The monthly barbecue was held on March 17, and it was sponsored by Dr. Jerry Veillon and Dr. Kirk Soileau, so we thank them for their generosity.
We have many fun outings planned for the near future and look forward to being a part of community events.
