Cordish turns himself into EPSO

An Opelousas man, wanted in connection with three burglaries and thefts in the Pine Prairie area, turned himself over to authorities Tuesday, June 10.

An attorney for Steven Ryan Cordish, 19, 457 Rolling Oak Drive, Opelousas, contacted the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office to discuss Cordish turning himself into authorities.

Captain Keith Dupre, chief of detectives, said Cordish had an outstanding arrest warrant for three counts of burglary and three counts of theft. Cordish and two others, who were charged last month, allegedly burglarized the Dollar Store and Pine Prairie School on three different occasions; once in July and once in December of 2007 and again in January of 2008.

Bond was set at $20,000.
