Couple honored at home improvement him and her shower

A couple’s home improvement shower honoring Haylie Anita Fruge of Lafayette and Grayson John LaCombe of Houston was held on April 12 at 7 p.m. at the home of Patrick and Amy Finney of Youngsville.

Haylie is the daughter of Anita Fontenot Melancon of Lafayete and Doug Fruge, Sr. of Montegut, Louisiana.

Grayson is the son of Kenneth and Susan LaCombe of Egan.

Serving as host and hostesses were Patrick and Amy, Trey Hundley, Lane Babin, Ashley Gauthreaux, Ryan and Rebecca McFarlain, Anthony and Hollie McAtee, Lisa and Ryan Girouard and Katie and Kyle Hodges and Bryan Leonards.

The host and hostesses present the couple with tool bags monogrammed with their names.

As a special treat to the betrothed couple, each guest was asked to express their well wishes by signing the matte of a large framed portrait of the couple.

Approximately 75 guest attended and were served refreshments of jambalaya, pork and tasso fettuccine, chips and dip, and other types of finger foods. A strawberry filled cake was enjoyed as dessert.

Out of town guest registered from Egan, Lafayette, Carencro, Rayne, Baton Rouge, Iowa, Broussard and Duson.

The couple became husband and wife on Friday, May 9 during a 7:30 p.m. ceremony at the Cathedral of St. John Evangelist in Lafayette.
