David Hoffpauir

HAMMOND – A Ponchatoula resident and native of Crowley, David passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 at the age of 70.

He was retired with Delta Airlines as a Senior Customer Service Agent and a previous owner of “Promotional Marketing Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners” in Hammond. David served in the Korean Conflict with the United States Army and was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. He and his wife, Laura, were volunteers with North Oaks Hospice.

His loving wife, Laura Hoffpauir of Ponchatoula and his devoted daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Higginbotham of Robert survive him. He leaves behind one sister, Juanita Johnson of Winslow, Arizona and a brother, John “Buddy” Hoffpauir of Florida. He will be sadly missed by his family, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond on Tuesday, March 18th at 12 noon with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in Ponchatoula Cemetery.
