DORIS PAUL AYMOND

May 15, 1927 - April 24, 2008

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Doris Paul Aymond, 80, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 26. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.

Mr. Aymond died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was a former sharecropper and farmed for most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Mercy G. Aymond of Mamou; three sons, Terral Aymond and his wife, Sheila, and Gary Paul Aymond Sr. and his wife, Nanette, all of Mamou, and Michael Aymond of Texas; three daughters, Janora Deville, Mona Willis and her husband, Butch, and Glenda Miller, all of Mamou; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodule and Pauline Aymond; two brothers, Norris and Clovis Aymond; two sisters, Agnes Guillory and Esther Granger; one son-in-law, Francis Deville; and two grandsons, Jeremy Miller and T.J. Aymond.

MICHAEL JAMES MARQUESS

February 7, 1958 - April 22, 2008

EUNICE - Funeral services were held for Michael James Marquess, 50, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 26. Burial followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.

Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.

EDOLIA MCGEE DUPRE

Funeral services will be held for Edolia McGee Dupre, 86, of Pine Prairie, at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Monday, April 28. Burial will follow in the Platin Cemetery.

Ms. Dupre died at 4:45 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.

Survivors include four sons, Floyd Dupre of Ville Platte, Harris Dupre of Dry Prong and Joe Dupre and Johnny Dupre, both of Pine Prairie; two daughters, Emma Joy Scace of Warren, Illinois, and Anna Menard of Chicago, Illinois; three sisters; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
