Deslatte named finalist in Pre-Teen Miss Louisiana Pageant

Hope Deslatte, the daughter of Sean and Tina Johnson of Pine Prairie, has attained the level of accomplishments, and upon the recommendations of the state selections committee, is a state finalist in the 2008 Miss Louisiana Pre-teen Pageant to be held at the Hilton Hotel in Lafayette July 25-28.

The granddaughter of William and Kathy Thompson of Columbia and James and Odessa Caldwell of Rayville, Deslatte is a fifth grade student at Bayou Chicot Elementary and a member of the 4-H Club. She has two older sisters, Emerald Perron and Amber Caldwell, and a younger brother, Trey Deslatte. They are all proud of her and wish her luck.

This is a dream come true for Deslatte, who has won many awards. However, the possibility of being crowned 2008 Miss Louisiana Pre-teen is very exciting for her, and she sees this as an opportunity that will open many doors leading her to a successful future.

Deslatte will be visiting local businesses asking for sponsors. As a potential sponsor, you will be asked to help her participate financially in the program by providing funds toward the pageant fees for this outstanding young lady. As a sponsor, you and your organization will be listed beside her photo in the state program. This is also a tax-deductible amount that can be used as advertising.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or would just like to give $5 for luck, contact Tina at 459-6559.

Deslatte is excited and ready to represent her home town of Pine Prairie at the 2008 Miss Louisiana Pre-teen Pageant and invites everyone to come out and see her.
