Domestic disturbance leads to Floyd's arrest

A domestic disturbance recently in Mamou led to one arrest and minor injuries.
Detective Todd Ortis said the Mamou Police Department received a call about the disturbance Thursday night, March 13. When officers arrived on the scene, he said they found Joseph Floyd and his wife, who had superficial cuts to her face.
Ortis said Floyd, 29, 521 East St., Mamou, allegedly grabbed his wife by the hair after an argument and began hitting her in the face. He was arrested without incident, charged with domestic abuse battery and transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail. His bond was set at $30,000.
